Introduction to CPIPR Topic Pages
The Center for Public Information on Population Research (CPIPR) engages in information dissemination activities designed to aid in translating scientific research into policies and programs. To further our goal of making research knowledge available to those acting to improve health in the U.S. and elsewhere, we have developed a series of web pages. For each topic, we provide an overview of recent trends in population health, disparities among racial and ethnic groups, some recent research results that illuminate the relationship between health and a variety of human behaviors and environments, and information about relevant on-going research funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development (NICHD).
The research areas covered by our web pages reflect major areas of concern for the Demographic and Behavioral Science Branch at NICHD. They are:
Child Well-Being
Changes in Population Size and Distribution
Families and Households
Family Functioning
HIV/AIDS
Fertility
Health and Mortality
Migration and Immigration
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs/STIs)
