Former Media Training Manager
April Houston joined PRB in 2021 as the media training manager for International Programs. Her passion is effective communication of data and research to enable advocates and policymakers to build healthier and more equitable communities. Houston previously worked at CARE, supporting knowledge management and communications for their global sexual and reproductive health and rights programs. She began her career in television production and worked for several years as a videographer, editor, writer, director, and producer. April holds a master’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in public health from Washington University in St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from Union University in Tennessee.
